3CDC forgoes nearly $900,000 in revenue
3CDC announced a tenant rent relief plan. In an effort to address the issues presented by restaurant and retail closures related to impacts of COVID-19, 3CDC will expect no payments for rent or expenses from its 78 retail, service and food and beverage tenants for two to three months. The total projected rent relief provided will be $877,000.
Together with P&G and Empower, 3CDC launched the Cincy Card Connection last week. The organizations pooled together $37,500 to serve as a matching fund for gift cards purchased at local businesses, with the goal of doubling the money into $75,000 of direct cash infusion to Downtown businesses. The matching funds were depleted within 20 hours and the organizations are actively working to raise additional funds to continue the program.
During this difficult time, one task everyone can complete is filling out the 2020 Census. In 2010, there was just a 77% participation rate in Hamilton County. With 23% of the population not counted, this equated to a loss of $34 billion in potential federal funding for Hamilton County, which went to different communities instead.
Due to the spread of COVID-19, there is currently no programming at Fountain Square, Washington Park or Ziegler Park.
Memorial Hall has successfully rescheduled more than 15 shows and third party events, originally scheduled for March, April, and May, with more new dates continuing to come in.
The playgrounds at Washington Park and Ziegler Park, as well as the dog park at Washington Park, are now closed to prevent the potential spread of COVID-19.
Season passes are on sale now for Ziegler Pool, which is currently expected to open on Memorial Day Weekend.
