Continuing to serve mothers

Greetings,

This past week has been eventful. Just like so many of you, we are adjusting daily to uncertainty of this crisis. Due to growing concerns about COVID-19, Birthing Beautiful Communities offices will be closed effective March 17, 2020. The main office line will be answered during regular business hours. However, the physical office will not be open to staff, contractors, or the public.

All in-person visits will be suspended, and we will shift to virtual visits. Previously referred clients will be contacted to determine their interest and will be considered enrolled upon completing intake with BBC’s Intake Specialist. Pregnant mothers and providers may continue to apply and submit referrals through our website.

Our transition to virtual visits will not limit our staff’s ability to support our clients. Active clients are directed to contact their Perinatal Support Specialist directly with any urgent needs or questions. New clients will be connected with a Perinatal Support Specialists, following their intake completion. They may also contact our main office line directly at (216) 307-1538 with any questions or concerns. If there is an urgent need between the hours of 5 pm and 8 am, clients or providers may call (216) 402-0924 for support.

We will continue to monitor this situation closely and will provide updates to our website and Facebook as they become available. It is our goal to return to normal operations as soon as possible. In the interim, we appreciate your cooperation and support as we strive to protect the health and wellness of the staff and the families we serve. If you have further questions or concerns, you may contact [email protected].

While the future of the economy is yet unknown, Birthing Beautiful Communities will continue to serve the mothers at highest risk of infant mortality. As we’ve already seen, many pregnant women are unclear about how both they and their child(ren) will be impacted by COVID-10. With that, we’ve already seen an increase in program interest and expect a greater increase as time passes.

You can help us reverse this trend and enable us to prepare to face whatever lies ahead. A gift to BBC will go a long way in ensuring a reduction in infant mortality in Cuyahoga and Summit County. Help further these efforts by making a gift today by clicking the button bellow.

Thank you for your support. It REALLY takes a village.
