Now more than ever, we’re so grateful for the community that has funded, volunteered, celebrated, and advocated for The Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio through the years. At a time when everything feels uncertain, we find comfort and encouragement knowing that you care about our cause.
Our Walk, Rock and Run will be held virtually on June 21st. Diversity Center staff members, and special surprise guests will be live on Facebook and Instagram at 8:30 a.m., walking the route with you. You may walk or run virtually between June 21st and July 6th. For details, visit https://www.diversitycenterneo.org/events/walk-rock-run/
While much of the world has stopped, our mission to eliminate bias, bigotry and racism will not be placed on pause. That’s why we’re asking you to help us cover the cost of continuing our diversity, equity and inclusion work with students.
We have all seen how the impact of COVID-19 is especially severe for those in marginalized socio-economic groups (people of color, the elderly, youth, people with disabilities, indigenous people, members of the LGBTQ+ community, refugees, and migrants).
Our programming, in School & Youth, SHIFT Consulting, and in LeadDIVERSITY, is a strong antidote to the bias, bigotry and racism that has created such inequity.
Our work is needed now, more than ever!
Participating virtually and donating to Walk, Rock and Run, is the safest, simplest, and most effective way to ensure that we can continue our School & Youth programming as we adapt to ever-changing circumstances due to COVID-19.
If you were planning on attending Walk, Rock and Run this year, consider donating in the amount that you would have spent on gasoline, parking, breakfast and coffee, had you attended the event. Please consider a donation of $25 to $50 or more.
While all of us are facing great challenges at this time, we hope that you can find some peace knowing that because of your generosity, we are working overtime to develop an additional program delivery model, Distance Learning.
