Feeding Homeless Families During COVID-19

As the largest emergency shelter for families in Greater Cincinnati, on any given day, 150-170 homeless individuals are cared for at Bethany House.  We are grateful to many volunteers who have provided weekday dinners  and weekend breakfasts to our families. The health and safety of our guests, volunteers, and staff are our utmost concern. During these unprecedented times, as we all practice social distancing to help ‘flatten the curve’, we are coping with our new reality –

  • finding new ways to make up for 420 week day dinners and weekend breakfast meals each week that we now must provide;
  • And, now that 100-120 of our children who typically have lunch provided for them at school are now in the shelter full time, we have an additional 500-600 lunches we must provide per week.

Donations to Bethany House will be used to feed homeless families and house them safely during this crisis time.  The Greater Cincinnati community is amazing; full of the most caring, supportive and generous neighbors ever.   Thank you!
