Largest annual fundraiser for Arts Association canceled

The Cincinnati Arts Association’s annual fundraiser, Dancing for the Stars 2020, scheduled for April 18, at Music Hall, has been canceled. Guests who purchased tickets and made donations to the fundraiser have been notified, and their tickets and donations will be refunded. The event, CAA’s largest fundraiser, raised more than $105,000 in 2019 to support the organization’s arts education programs. These include the Overture Awards – the nation’s largest locally run high school arts scholarship competition. An online auction usually raises more than $20,000. The competition features seven Cincinnati celebrities paired with professional dancers. The winners are chosen through a combination of audience vote and judges’ scores.
