How you helpLooking for ways to engage with colleagues and positively impact your workplace culture while also impacting the lives of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky students? Adopt A Class is seeking corporate and nonprofit organizations to volunteer in classrooms one hour, once a month, with a team of 5-8 colleagues for the upcoming school year. Adopt A Class is dedicated to pairing classrooms in underserved communities with members of the business community and civic groups to serve as mentors to expose students to a breadth of life and career experiences so they can unleash their full potential. Join the more than 130 partner organizations serving more than 5,000 students in the program to help us reach the additional 5,000 students in classrooms still waiting to be matched with a partner organization. Adopt A Class trains teams of volunteers and provides ongoing support throughout the school year to ensure the ask of volunteers is indeed one hour, once a month, for 7 months during the school year.
About usFor almost 20 years, Adopt A Class has been dedicated to pairing classrooms in underserved schools with members of the business community and civic groups. Today, over 2,000 volunteers from over 130 businesses and community groups are paired with students in 33 Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky schools. Our volunteers provide mentoring to over 5,000 students a year. Many of these students find themselves lacking role models and/or a support system. Our mentors can be that positive influence, instilling important values and life skills while introducing critically important career concepts. Our program operates in schools with the highest concentrations of poverty where currently 96% of the students are eligible for free or reduced lunch.
