| How you help | The program provides 6th through 9th grade students the opportunity to challenge themselves academically and personally. These students go through a rigorous selection process based on academic merit, educational goals, and risk factors. Over the course of 4 years, student learning is guided by college-age Teaching Fellows, who are gaining the practical experience to succeed as future teachers and leaders. These relationships form the foundation of the unique "student-teaching-students" approach. It is that approach that fostered the inspired learning environment that leads to results. Students attending Breakthrough Cincinnati typically graduate on time from high school; 88% did in 2017, and enroll in college; 100% did in 2017. |
