We know that every gift, no matter the size, can make a difference in the lives of babies and their families. At the Columbus Diaper Coalition we believe that access to diapers is a basic human need, and that something as simple as a fresh, clean diaper can provide health and happiness to families and babies in need. |

Grant ResearcherThis position provides grant management and administrative support for grant writing. Responsibilities include: Identifying, coordinating, and maintaining potential funding opportunities, Provide support to the leadership team for proposal development and submission by reviewing proposals for completeness and adherence to guidelines and ensuring proposals are submitted in a timely manner. This position is around 8-10 hours/month and has flexible timing.Social Media ManagerWe’re looking for someone with excellent writing skills and experience in social media management to serve as our Social Media Manager. Responsibilities include: Having a clear understanding of all partnerships, events, sponsors, and large donations, Staying up to date on the diaper need at a local and national level, Writing social content for Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, and our blog, Identifying third-party content to share on our accounts, Posting planned content on behalf of the Columbus Diaper Coalition, Responding to comments/direct messages in a timely and accurately. Previous experience with community management and social content writing is desired, but not required. This role could be split between two people depending on skill level and prior experience. This position is around 12 hours/month and requires a 4-6 month commitment.Leader for Volunteer Diaper Packingsn order to make sure we always have diapers packed up and ready to go to our partner agencies, we depend on multiple diaper packing events each month. This role would lead one 2-hour diaper packing event each month. The role requires an outgoing and patient personality and a high level of comfort leading groups of 8 or more. This position is around 4 hours each month and has flexible timing.Dedicated CDC VolunteersResponsibilities include: Volunteering at diaper packing parties, Volunteering at community events, Count new diaper inventory, Unpack monthly diaper shipments, Help with administrative tasks, Fill orders for monthly donations to partner agencies.Diaper Donation PickupResponsibilities Include: Collecting diaper donations from community drop off locations , Bringing diapers to our warehouse, Can be split between multiple volunteers; select pickup locations based on your preference.Event PlanningWe are looking for dedicated volunteers to serve as event planners. Responsibilities include: Assisting in the planning and event logistics including but not limited to marketing, fundraising, budgeting, and coordination of volunteers, Researching, identifying, and securing sponsors and donors, Serving as a point of contact to donors, sponsors, and vendors, On-site support, pre, during and post-event. Be an ambassador for the event, promoting a positive image. This opportunity is a 6-8 hours/month commitment and could be split between two people. |

| How you help | The Columbus Diaper Coalition is an all-volunteer run organization. We rely on the help of numerous local volunteers to get our diapers out the door every month and onto the bottoms of the babies who need them. |

| About us | The Columbus Diaper coalition was born out of a need within the community. Upon learning that diapers were not covered by Ohio Works First, SNAP Benefits, or other social-service organizations in the state of Ohio, the Co-Founders; Iris Coker and Lara Smith began to put the wheels in motion to start a diaper bank. The Columbus Diaper Coalition launched in November of 2013, partnering with two Columbus-area food pantries and continues to grow and expand it's reach through the addition of more pantries and social service organizations. The vision of every member of the Columbus Diaper Coalition is to grow into a diaper bank in Columbus, Ohio that can serve all areas of the city. |
