How you help Our volunteers can make a huge difference in the lives of the families that come through our doors. They help by assisting with children’s activities, helping with facility projects, or simply by caring enough to just get involved.
About us Since 1984, Bethany House has served more than 2,000 individuals and provided more than 300,000 nights of safe shelter for victims and their children escaping domestic abuse in our area. Annually, we serve an average of 30 families. Bethany House is a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of St. Francis of Sylvania, Ohio, and a member of Sylvania Franciscan Ministries and Northwest Ohio Community Shares.
