Repacking

In our Repack area, volunteers assist on a variety of projects related to sorting through and packing up incoming donations before the food is eventually distributed to our partner programs in the community. Typical Repack projects include: Nonperishable Food Sorting and Packing, Backpacks for Kids Kit Assembly, Shelf Stable Emergency Kit Assembly, and Commodity Supplemental Food Program box Assembly. At this time, we are requiring all volunteers to be 14 or older in order to participate in our onsite Repack projects. Volunteers under the age of 16 will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian for their shift.

How you help Volunteers are crucial to all operations of the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, whether in traditional roles (collecting, sorting, and repacking food that comes through our warehouse every day) or using special skills to support with administrative functions or special projects.
