| About us | Growing up Terri recalls spending many evenings and weekends under cars holding a flashlight or handing her dad tools assisting him as he repaired cars in the family’s garage. Terri thought this is what her dad did to earn extra money to help support his family. Many years later, not long into her career as a Social Worker, Terri realized her dad wasn’t working on cars to provide for his family but to provide a solution for people that he saw in need. In late 2020 the idea of offering low-cost car repairs resurfaced with Terri as she saw first hand the need among people she knew. She began searching for other nonprofit car repair shops and located one a few states away. The founder of this organization shared valuable information and guidance on how to form a garage that could serve an underserved community. |
