May Dugan Center
About us | For over 50 years, the May Dugan Center has committed to a comprehensive and caring approach to serving its neighbors. Client needs are met with compassion and understanding. The Center assists 6,500 people annually in Cuyahoga County, predominantly from neighborhoods within the near west side. Nearly all our clients live at or below 150% of the federal poverty threshold. In 2019, 78% of people coming through intake reported experiencing trauma and/or exhibited trauma symptoms. It is well established that chronic and toxic stress leads to long-lasting health issues. May Dugan provides resources that enhance the quality of life and support positive health outcomes for vulnerable populations. This is done through holistic, wrap-around services in six core programs, which provide stability and the resources necessary to assist people to live a healthy life. These are Food, Clothing & Fresh Produce Distributions, Health & Wellness, the Education Resource Center, Behavioral Health Services, the Trauma Recovery Center, and MomsFirst. |
