Melanoma Know More
Ways to help | Other OpportunitiesMarketing and public relations, administrative support, and more.DermatologistWe need 3 physicians/CNP's/PA's to work in each clinic. You can also help by volunteering to accept patients with suspected melanoma on an expedited basis. These referrals are rotated so no one person gets them all. Some patients will have insurance and others will not, but you can limit the number of pro bono/reduced rate patients you are willing to see per year. Arrangements will be made for the pathology for uninsured patients to be read pro bono/reduced rate as well.Melanoma School & Youth ProgramsSchool and youth programs, community speakers, and distributing melanoma information at community and corporate events. An educational outreach program in local area schools that provides students with important information about sun and skin safety.Screening AssistantWe need volunteers to assist with the check-in and check-out process as well as escorting patients to exam rooms at our monthly free skin cancer screening clinics in collaboration with area hospitals and dermatologists.Events and FundraisingAnnual Fund, grant writing, Melanoma Awareness Day, Team Melanoma Know More - Flying Pig Marathon, Music for Melanoma Event. |
