Ways to help | Commodity Supplemental Food ProgramStand in an assembly line while packing 21+ food items in a box in preparation for monthly distribution. Volunteers must be attentive to given direction to insure each box contains the same amount of items.BackPack ProgramWalk the stacks to assemble a back pack carrier with various items in a grocery bag and/or box packed bags in preparation for weekly distributions. Great walking exercise.Retail Rescue ProgramPerform quality checks on donated food and package variety boxes. A knowledgeable staff person will review the process of checking each donated food item for quality while working with the volunteers.Food Drive SupportPerforming quality checks on donated food and boxing for distribution. About us | The primary purpose of Shared Harvest Foodbank is to alleviate poverty and hunger by soliciting and judiciously distributing surplus marketable and wholesome grocery products to a network of charitable food pantries, which in turn distribute these products to needy and hungry people. |
