Ways to help

PromiseCorps Service

PromiseCorps members can provide educational assistance, tutoring, and many other opportunities for community organizations. 20 members work in the schools serving the most academically and socially challenged students. PromiseCorps members are not highly qualified teachers; they are capable and committed adults with the aptitude and determination to work with low income families and children. PromiseCorps members serve part-time to fulfill an hour requirement. Usually, members serve 900 hours over eight to twelve months.

Summer AmeriCorps VISTA members participate in the summer enrichment programming of a larger poverty alleviation effort conducted by the Springfield Promise Neighborhood. How you helpThe work that Promise does wouldn’t be possible without the commitments from incredible individuals to serve and work in our communities.
About usSpringfield Promise Neighborhood was founded in 2010 around the thought that engaging the community and activating the talents of our neighbors would help us all lift up our children. Our initiative is just one of many Promise Neighborhoods operating in cities and communities all over the country. Unlike others, Springfield Promise is one of only a few national Promise programs that is internally funded, and one of only three Promise programs in Ohio.
