Ways to help

Serve a Meal

We serve meals three times a day, every day of the year. We welcome individuals and groups to serve meals, especially at lunch and dinner. Lunch is served at 11:30 every day, and volunteers are asked to arrive at 11. Typically, the volunteer “shift” lasts until about 12:30. Dinner volunteers are asked to arrive at 5 pm, and dinner is served at 5:30. Volunteers can expect to be finished around 6:30 pm. Children are welcome!

How you helpVolunteers make our work possible!
About usWe were founded in Ohio City in 1977. We operate a 28-bed men's shelter and a 12-bed men's transitional home. We typically provide 3 hot meals a day to the community. Because of the pandemic, that has been modified to carryout lunch and dinner every day, 11:30-12 and 5:30-6. We also provide clothing to men, toiletry and hygiene items to the public, and groceries to families with dependents on the last 5 business days of each month.
