The Intergenerational School
| About us | The Intergenerational School (TIS) is an innovative school model founded in 2000. It is based on a constructivist philosophy - we learn by doing. We also believe that children grow and learn at different paces depending on a variety of factors. At TIS, students take the time they need to build a strong academic foundation before moving onto the next level of learning. True to our name, we purposefully integrate children and adults of all ages to learn together. Our reading mentor program has approximately 45 adults coming to read with kids every week. Our students also participate in a variety of activities with seniors throughout Cleveland - creating art, visiting museums singing, book reading. sharing stories, etc. |
