Ways to help | Art Enrichment VolunteerPatients and families explore their creative side and express their feelings through the visual arts.Direct Patient Care VolunteersVisit patients and families at home, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, inpatient hospice units. Pay a friendly visit; relieve a family caregiver for an afternoon out; accompany a patient to the beauty salon, grocery store or a social event; read aloud; listen to memories; walk the dog; be the high point of someone’s day.Memory Bear VolunteerCreate one-of-a-kind Memory Bears from VITAS patients’ clothes to comfort the family.Administrative VolunteerProvide support in the office: filing, preparing mailings, computer input, answering the phones, special projects.Bereavement VolunteersAs a volunteer, you'll visit, make phone calls, attend support groups, attend memorial services and send bereavement mailings. |

About us | VITAS Community Connection is a memorial foundation for VITAS Hospice patients. We provide financial assistance to patient's and caregivers in need to enhance their quality of life. We help our patients stay in their homes whenever possible, bringing comfort and care to them in long-term care facilities, hospitals or assisted living communities in the Greater Cincinnati area and all of Southwest Ohio. |
