The Spring Camp at Home Program
The spring Camp at Home program ran from April 1 – May 1 and featured:
- a weekly Camper Resource Roundup that featured partner organizations and programs, such as virtual museum tours and Doodle with Mo Willems, and a Caregiver Resource Roundup that provided resources on health and wellness and other tools to navigate the pandemic (click here to view online)
- instructional activities such as nature-based programs, science experiments, reflection and mindfulness exercises, and cooking demonstrations;
- videos and live streaming of camp dances and stretches to encourage movement at home;
- ‘cabin chats’ to check in with campers and families through posted prompts and live videos;
- weekly ‘campfires’ to promote connection and entertainment; and
- a private Facebook group where parents and caregivers could connect and receive support
