Very Special Deliveries
Every year, more than 600 families in the 45204 zip code visit our Community Market choice food pantry when faced with an emergency need. Many of our loyal pantry volunteers are at high risk for COVID-19, and we knew that physical distancing would be a challenge in our normal operations. So, for the last two weeks (and likely for the next several), our entire team has banded together to take phone orders, pack boxes and bags, and delivery critical pantry items like food, hygiene products, and cleaning supplies to the doorsteps of our neighbors. In fact, pictured above is our lead GED instructor, Sarah, loading boxes into our Community Matters van! We miss seeing all of our neighbors’ faces, but we are grateful to have the ability to come together as a community in different ways during this time.
