Essential duties include, but are not limited to: scheduling furniture pick-ups and deliveries; assisting with furniture pick-ups and deliveries; management of record-keeping for the furniture ministry; ; ensuring maintenance and cleanliness of furniture storage area; and inventory management.

Sort, organize, and shelve food donations. Conduct cordial and professional interactions with supervisors, coworkers, donors, and customers. Rotate food items regularly to guarantee donation freshness. Assist other volunteers and customers as necessary.

Volunteers sort clothes, pair outfits, inventory items, and keep the closet organized and tidy for families to shop.

College students needing observation hours or to complete a practicum are encouraged to complete the volunteer application and submit it in order to be considered for these positions.

This work-study program with Wittenberg University allows a Wittenberg student to apply for a paid job with us. Very few of these are offered each year and positions are posted in the Wittenberg Work-Study Office.

Third Party Fundraisers are a great way to be involved! Host a fundraiser of your own! Gather a group to host a small event such as a bake sale, fundraiser night at local restaurant/pub with the proceeds benefitting Found House families and/or their pets.

Homework help days and educational focused activities for 45 minutes then a Mindbender to get kids thinking outside the box, working as a team and just having fun. Parents and teachers provide two updates each session on their child’s education needs for teens awareness. Children are expected to bring in grade cards.
