Sunlight Volunteers, we could not do it without you! Youth volunteers make a great impact here at Sunlight Village. Youth can get volunteer hours for school credit and help our youth at the same time.

These services help to supplement our operations and are required for continued funding. Assistance is needed in classrooms, teaching children in the home, equipment donations, supplies, space, and advisory committees/councils. Time donated by professionals for the training of staff or parents also qualifies.

NBFY provides consulting services for group homes in Montgomery County. For that purpose we are always on the looking to recruit, screen, and refer eligible, qualified candidates to our clients.

During the regular school year (We follow Dayton Public Schools’ schedule), NBFY offers an after-school enrichment program for students in kindergarten through 8th grade.

Camp Butterfly, Anti-Bullying Rally, Incredible Kids Day, and Christmas for Kids are annual events for which we need motivated volunteers.

At NBFY, we care about the welfare of young people and want to see them succeed. To that end we provide mentoring opportunities for caring adults who are willing to dedicate themselves to our program requirements.

There are currently more than 170 nursing homes and assisted living facilities in the region served by the Dayton office of the Long-term Care Ombudsman. This office could not possibly serve the needs of these citizens without help from its volunteers, and they are seeking volunteer advocates.

We host COPEs all across the country, and are always looking for dedicated individuals to volunteers as Resource Leaders for COPE.
