During the regular school year (We follow Dayton Public Schools’ schedule), NBFY offers an after-school enrichment program for students in kindergarten through 8th grade.
NBFY provides consulting services for group homes in Montgomery County. For that purpose we are always on the looking to recruit, screen, and refer eligible, qualified candidates to our clients.
Camp Butterfly, Anti-Bullying Rally, Incredible Kids Day, and Christmas for Kids are annual events for which we need motivated volunteers.
At NBFY, we care about the welfare of young people and want to see them succeed. To that end we provide mentoring opportunities for caring adults who are willing to dedicate themselves to our program requirements.
There are currently more than 170 nursing homes and assisted living facilities in the region served by the Dayton office of the Long-term Care Ombudsman. This office could not possibly serve the needs of these citizens without help from its volunteers, and they are seeking volunteer advocates.
When children and teens have the influence of a caring adult, they are more likely to avoid risky behaviors and to focus on academics. Today’s youth face a variety of challenges, and being matched with a Mentor can help them navigate these challenges and reach their potential.
Volunteers help us carry out our mission by providing an array of services including adult and children’s activities, fundraising, house maintenance and repairs, transportation and more.
Each year, Day of Caring volunteers work on improvement projects for Auglaize County; these services are available for all qualifying non-profit organizations, community recreational facilities, historical sites, and other relevant areas. The projects consist of activities such as landscaping, painting and repair.
