Assist with Food prep for Crockpot meal bags: chop and bag veggies, measure and bag spices, assemble meal bags, deliver meal bags.
Support the development of our permaculture lab: plant perennials, trees, move mulch, pond maintenance, weed, harvest.
We’re seeking board members to grow our current group from 7 to 12; especially members who share our values. Relevant experience in nonprofit leadership (Board President), nonprofit governance, food retail/restaurant, finance and legal or human resources.
On Sundays’s volunteers go downtown to handout food and clothing to people who are experiencing homelessness.
Pantry volunteers help stock and distribute food to the families that we serve, separate items from cases / bulk quantities at the pantry, help clients select food items during pantry operations, coordinate pantry food donations from member churches, and more.
Volunteers can tutor or mentor at local schools or help with our new After School program.
The Flying Pig Medical team is looking for doctors, nurses, athletic trainers, physical therapists, paramedics, EMTs, other healthcare professionals, AND students to help take care of the event participants.
Our official volunteer program requires volunteers to be at least 14 years of age. If you represent a non-profit with volunteers under the age of 14, we still have an opportunity for you! Your group can participate as one of our Sunday “Spirit Stations.”
Volunteers are needed throughout the weekend to help with all facets of the event such as fluid stations, on-course aid stations, start and finish line area. Donations range depending on the volunteer assignment and the adult to youth ratio the group is able to provide. All volunteers must be at least 14 years of age.
