Help our “Another For A Neighbor” program get fresh healthy foods to those in need. The farmers market partners with Churches Active In Northside’s Food Pantry each week to collect produce donations from customers and farmers for distribution at the food pantry. You’ll manage the donation collection booth, gather donations from farmers at the end…

Help us talk with customers and learn how to make the market better. Conduct simple surveys at the market between the hours of 4pm-7pm.

Assist with taking down the market info booth and signs .

Assist with children’s learning activities at market, and help get kids more involved with the local food community and eating healthy. Help on market days or behind the scenes.

We need help to get our newsletter ready to mail. 2 or 3 or 4 volunteers are needed to fold, tab and label our monthly newsletter. Usually needed the third week of the month for 3-4 hours if 3 or 4 people help out. The more hands, the faster the job gets done!

We need adults to help with the St Leo’s summer youth program. You must be 18 years or older and Virtus trained (if you need training please see Judie Kuhlman). High School Teens are needed this summer to help be teen leaders for the Summer Youth program.

Responsible for the purchased and donated acquisition of food, evaluate weekly inventory, and manage weekly orders with the Freestore Foodbank and other food resources, for pantry needs, parish needs, and neighborhood functions as needed. Manage communications with all volunteers. (Approx. 15 hours a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.)

Two people with muscle are needed to pick up food items and meats on Friday mornings. This volunteer opportunity requires driving to 2 locations in the Rookwood area, lifting and stacking supplies in the cargo van, transporting the items back to the food pantry and then moving them from the van to the shelves.

3-4 hours each week to do light housekeeping at the rectory, including cleaning the restrooms and kitchen, vacuuming and dusting the offices and meeting spaces.
