We need volunteers to help with tutoring and homework help after school, Mon – Fri, 4:00 – 5:00 pm at our Family Living Center in Dayton. This is a great opportunity for retired or current teachers and college professors or high school and college students.
Homefull receives a large volume of donated items from the community on a consistent basis. We are looking for volunteers to help with the organization of these items, including creating our ‘starter kits’ for newly housed clients, as well as stocking and maintaining our donation storage facility (located in our administrative office).
The weather is fantastic and we are looking for energetic volunteers to help with clean-up projects at our housing sites, including litter collection, planting flowers, small scale landscaping, etc. This is a great project for groups and individuals!

We are currently seeking dedicated volunteers who would be willing to assist in developing and administering ‘life skills’ programming to our clients. Volunteers would work with Homefull staff to develop appropriate curriculum, and then teach those skills to clients in a class or group setting.
Cupboard volunteers can help with the following: cashier, front desk, floor person, sorter, van driver, van helper and handyman.
Volunteers interact with residents in the hope of providing support, encouragement and informal mentoring. Volunteers become a temporary “community net” while people are working through the matters that caused them to experience homelessness. The staff members of the Timothy House also rely on volunteers to provide practical assistance in the daily operation of the house.
