Interview patients who want to tell their story and create a true and lasting gift for their family.

Make visits to patients and families at their place of residence for companionship and to give the caregiver a much needed break. Visit patients in facilities, read to them, or help with feeding.

Work with our Generations of Life Community Bereavement Resource Center. Offer bereavement visits and phone calls to bereaved family members. Assist with adult, children and teen bereavement programs.

Assist with hospice-sponsored and community events.

From massage therapy and Reiki to barber and beautician services, we can use just about anyone’s unique skill to help our patients and their families. Do you have a skill or talent you could offer?

Did you serve in the United States Armed Forces? If so, help us honor our veteran patients with special pinning ceremonies, during which we thank them for their service and present them with a pin and an American flag.

Join other volunteers to assemble and deliver flower arrangements to patients.

Assist with office duties and mailings.

Visit our patients that reside in skilled care and assisted living facilities to simply chat, read to them and spend time with them.

This special service is a way we keep “homebound” clients connected with the outside world. Preble County Council on Aging volunteers call to check on an individual daily or as needed.
