From open mic nights to Ride for Reading, WordPlay hosts several community events throughout the year. And the more people we have around to help, the better! Duties may include setting up/cleaning up; distributing flyers; greeting attendees and showing them where to go; serving food and drinks; and taking photos.

We offer anyone in need dignity within a safe environment to have a meal served by compassionate volunteers. Breakfast (6:45 am to 9 am) and dinner (3:45 pm to 6 pm) are served Monday through Friday (excluding major holidays). Volunteer groups are welcome to help fill hundreds of shifts each month.
