Keeping an old mill preserved, maintained and presented to the public in a way that is welcoming to daily visitors takes efforts of an entire community.

Share ideas for improving communities with other members nationwide. Uphold three Programs of Service – Americanism, Youth Programs and Community Projects – and work together to reinforce these common values.

Volunteering needs vary by region and facility, but could include: Escorting patients and visitors, Transporting patients, Veteran’s visitation, and/or Performing or playing music.

Check-in and ground crew assistance on flight dates and/or attendees for the welcome home receptions.

Fundraising Events, Information booths, phone calls for special events, assistance at our annual Fall Banquet, and clerical support.

Greet clients and help them with items; Handle the purchase sheet; Restock store/clean and organize

Volunteer to spend quality time with a Pause kiddo over Zoom! Pick an activity with your assigned child and we will order/ship the supplies to both of you. Your main job? Have FUN! Our volunteers have created crafts, solved puzzles and played board/online games together. The opportunities are endless!

Pulling off Pause events takes a large behind the scenes team. Join us at our home base to prepare event crafts, curate take-home packs, prep volunteer supplies, make copies, and more!
