Camp Butterfly, Anti-Bullying Rally, Incredible Kids Day, and Christmas for Kids are annual events for which we need motivated volunteers.
At NBFY, we care about the welfare of young people and want to see them succeed. To that end we provide mentoring opportunities for caring adults who are willing to dedicate themselves to our program requirements.
There are currently more than 170 nursing homes and assisted living facilities in the region served by the Dayton office of the Long-term Care Ombudsman. This office could not possibly serve the needs of these citizens without help from its volunteers, and they are seeking volunteer advocates.
When children and teens have the influence of a caring adult, they are more likely to avoid risky behaviors and to focus on academics. Today’s youth face a variety of challenges, and being matched with a Mentor can help them navigate these challenges and reach their potential.
Volunteers can help with our three programs – food pantry, client services and the thrift store.
Volunteers help us carry out our mission by providing an array of services including adult and children’s activities, fundraising, house maintenance and repairs, transportation and more.
Each year, Day of Caring volunteers work on improvement projects for Auglaize County; these services are available for all qualifying non-profit organizations, community recreational facilities, historical sites, and other relevant areas. The projects consist of activities such as landscaping, painting and repair.

A volunteer can be as involved as their time allows. We welcome your time and your dedication. Whether you choose to just come in when you have some free time or you want to set a designated day each week, it is entirely up to you.
Volunteer help with all aspects of the festival!
