THCC hosts a number of fundraising and outreach events each year. Help to support these events by being a part of the planning committee, help the day of the event, promote the event, or be a sponsor.
We like house parties, barbecues, potluck dinners, and any other gathering that brings neighbors together to learn more about each other and what RefugeeConnect is doing to link communities together.
Help run the club in your particular school.
Assist with mentoring, preparing monthly meals, and helping with healthy cooking workshops.
Assist community members meet urgent food needs through the Annual Hunger Walk and Food Pantry Drives.
Assist with fundraising opportunities. Research prospective donors in targeted regions for new funding & partnership opportunities. Assist in the organization of hardcopy archives and marketing collateral. Other projects as assigned by the Director of Development and Political Outreach. Ability to design, develop and launch digital projects such as websites, banner ads, e-mail campaigns. Demonstrates proficiency in traditional print and basic print production. Write press releases, media advisories, and communications plans. Develop social media campaigns, including research, writing posts. Experience managing, editing and updating social media accounts ie. Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram.
Present skilled based learning in the areas of personal, parenting and professional.
Join in on a conversation about branding and public relations to increase our visibility in our community.
Monday’s from 9 am – 12 pm we are always looking for new volunteers for our food pantry! Help pass out food boxes while making connections with other volunteers and community members.
