Class Instructor/Teacher: Lead a weekly class for the men staying at our homeless shelter, teaching life skills, bible studies, or creative expression classes.Classes can run for a period of time, such as 4 – 8 weeks, or can be on-going depending on the topic and instructor’s preference. The minimum commitment is 2 hours per week for 8-10 weeks. Coaches/Asst. Coaches/Volunteers work directly with the athletes to improve their skills in specific Special Olympics Sports.

Help with various Fund Raisers and/or be on committees (Fund Raising, Program, Marketing, Young Professionals Committee).

Third Party Fundraisers are a great way to be involved! Host a fundraiser of your own! Gather a group to host small fundraisers such as a bake sale, car wash or pub crawl to raise funds for the many needs our families may have. Or arrange a supply/donation drive for items from our wish list.

Play games, read books, do a variety of arts & crafts or supervise outdoor play.

Help with administrative projects, filing, answering phones, etc. (9am-5pm)

Handyman/woman needed to help maintain the shelter and staff offices. Bethany House’s seven buildings need repair work on an ongoing basis.

Join a Special Event Committee and help plan our 3 annual events. Plan, prepare and run Bethany House fundraising events throughout the year. Prepare and serve dinner at the shelters Monday through Thursday in Fairmount or Bond Hill. Volunteers can cook dinner at home and heat it upon arrival or cook in our fully equipped kitchens.
