Help staff the table and answer people’s questions about NAMI and the services we offer.
Help with feeding, cleaning, care-taking of the animals. Volunteers must be able to work independently after training, must be dependable/reliable, and have a high level of engagement with our animals.
Call or email the new family and may visit the animals in their new home to make sure the animal and family are happy and adjusting to being together.
Throughout the year HART plans and schedules adoption and fundraising events such as a golf tournament and dinner that includes raffle baskets, silent and live auction items. Volunteers help to plan and run these events.
Assist in getting the animals to where they need to go. Additional transport opportunities exist to pick up rescued animals from shelters and transport them to one of our veterinarians for examination.
Monday’s from 9 am – 12 pm we are always looking for new volunteers for our food pantry! Help pass out food boxes while making connections with other volunteers and community members.
Come help us clean up the garden space, build new beds, and get things prepped for winter. Social distancing will be utilized and masks are required. For volunteers working directly with children we ask for a minimum of a one-year commitment. Background check required, 21+, 1-2hrs/wk.
We do any length of trip from day long trips to week long trips. There is a per person fee for lodging, staffing, and project supplies.
Due to the nature of our special events and holiday programs, we rely on a great number of volunteers to ensure the event/program runs smoothly.
