Volunteers are needed to help behind the scenes with marketing and grant-writing.

Responsible for assisting kitchen personnel in areas of need (line servers, dishwashers, helping to set up for meals and helping to clean up after meals). Assist in some preparation of food (ex. Plate desserts, brew coffee, make ice tea, etc.). Responsible for the set up and breakdown of buffet tables.

Loading and unloading vans, liaising with food banks and grocery stores, sorting food items, checking for expiration dates, discarding expired items, and maintaining the pantry area so it is clean and organized.

Sorting donations and preparing them for re-use; Listening to customers needs and organizing appropriate items.

Events such as Thanksgiving Feast with over 60 volunteers give of their time throughout the day prepping food, plating meals, sweeping floors and sanitizing surfaces.

Coaches and referees needed throughout the year for numerous sports/activities.

Serve the foster family in ways that will support them, whether it is to supply a meal, help with errands, extra housework, laundry, yard work, homework or even childcare for the biological or previously adopted children in the family. Serve as overnight caregiver in their home or in the supported family’s home from as little as one night up to two weeks, in accordance with the approval policy of Isaiah’s Place. Must meet additional training and documentation requirements for Care Community Respite Provider.
