Build a relationship with your scholar and create experiences that enable the him or her to grow as an individual and successfully prepare for college and life beyond.
Scholars are assigned to a tutor with knowledge of his or her troubled subject. Tutors meet with scholars at the residential or community-based programs.
Help our scholars prepare for college through enrichment activities and life-changing experiences outside the classroom.
Assist the front desk, and greet YMCA members when they walk in the door.
Help keep our facility grounds clean and presentable for the community.
Under the guidance of a professional chef, help prepare and serve meals to our guest families. Donation required.
Assist with special events and fundraisers. This might include providing event set-up and clean-up helping to run fair booths, interpreting for Spanish speaking clients, and more.
Assist in registering clients for ESL classes, provide tutoring, practice and support. Some familiarity with Spanish would be great, but not mandatory.
This is a great opportunity for a corporate group or family! Help host a donations drive to support the various programs of Santa Maria.
