Our main ongoing need is help with transporting cats to vet appointments from the Catfe.
As we are getting started, we need help in all areas, including fundraising, food distribution, outreach, etc.
We are looking for skilled tradesmen, carpenters, electricians, etc. to help with framing and other construction needs during housing renovations.
Help with food pick-up, van driving, and delivery of food.
Volunteers assemble and distribute food sacks.
Present topics of your choosing and interest at a talk or on a walk through the wetlands. Topics may include wetlands, native plants, photography, birding, fitness, etc. Volunteer training booklet is provided.
BCWA provides opportunities to high school students who need service hours.
Join our engagement committee to help plan upcoming events such as the annual meeting, educational walks or programs like Monarch Tagging. The committee typically meets once a month and works together to create informative, meaningful and fun events.
Empower girls to lead activities, learn by doing and cooperate with others for a short-term Girl Scout Leadership Experience. Curriculum support and training provided. Series occur anytime throughout the year and meeting schedule is flexible. Assistants help facilitate activities and manage troop business (registration, attendance, money, etc.).
