Help ensure that all dogs are taken on a minimum four short walks a day, while socializing and training the dogs using positive reinforcement to increase adoptability.
To ensure that all cat kennel areas are clean and presentable to the public and that cats are well socialized, increasing their chances of adoption.
Teens ages 13-17 can make a difference for animals! They can choose to volunteer independently as their schedule allows, and participate in our Teen Animal Inspired Leaders Society Club. Teen Advocates can choose to participate in additional training, animal welfare and humane education programs, teen-led fundraisers, field trips, and social events.
To ensure that all members of the public are greeted upon arrival, giving them a positive first impression of SICSA and guaranteeing an excellent customer service experience.
To bring the joy and comfort of animal companionship to residents in nursing homes and hospitals with SICSA’s adoptable animals, as well as providing socialization for the animal.
To assist with our Youth Programs, including birthday parties, mini-camps, tours, and SICSA Saturday programming.
Foster Volunteers care for homeless puppies, dogs, cats and kittens in their home for a short period of time until the animals are adopted. We are happy to accommodate Foster Volunteers and schedules in a variety of ways.
Help facilitate support groups that provide emotional, educational and social support to those caring for someone living with Alzheimer’s or another dementia. Click here for facilitator job description.
Liaisons between the Alzheimer’s Association and local faith groups or congregations. They share information about Alzheimer’s disease, our free resources, and ways to join our cause at local community and education events.
The Mentoring Case Manager will handle cases referred to him/her by the Case Management Aid in order to provide care that is safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and family-centered.
