Beginning in 2021, our food pantry program allows a family to select their own groceries themselves at the Meijer store in Troy. We schedule COA volunteers to meet folks at the store where they can shop for their own non-taxable food items up to a preset amount, then a volunteer will pay for the groceries…

For families with children, we provide a special gift for each child, aged infant to 18, and schedule shopping days at the Troy Kohl’s so parents can shop for clothing for their children. COA volunteers are at the store to assist with purchases. Shopping hours are planned for the first week or so in December.

Our Back to School Program is an annual late summer event where parents can sign their school children up for a backpack with grade appropriate supplies and pick it up before the first day of school. COA works with the school office to pay for school fees, if needed.
