Volunteer Coaches are needed for youth sports such as soccer, basketball, and baseball. Coaches and Buddies are also needed for the Miracle League, a baseball league for children with special needs. Character development and good sportsmanship are emphasized in all YMCA instructional youth sports.

Hospitality is essential. Greet, welcome, and assist members with tours of the Wellness Center; wipe down equipment as needed; check with members to ensure their needs are being met; update member communications such as signage.

Volunteer needs vary with each event, but typically involve volunteer and participant recruitment, registration, greeting, data entry and logistics, set up, and tear down.

Opportunities include Child Watch, YMCA Early Learning Centers, before and after school programming, field trip chaperones, and summer day camp.

Doing good is a beautiful thing. As a Big Sister, you can give a girl an opportunity to see beyond her everyday world and dream big. It’s good for your Little as well as your community.
