Threads is a great opportunity for individuals, families or small groups to serve together. There is something for everyone to help with, including sorting and folding donated clothing.

Pick up donated clothing from various locations and deliver it, when we are open, to our facility.

Donate your gently used clothing, shoes, and coats, or support us with a tax-deductible monetary gift.

Cleaning and general maintenance, Data entry, Social media manager, and Bookkeeping.

Help maintain the landscaping of around the Tavern.

Photography of the collection, Digitization of photographs, and Processing archaeological artifacts.

Giving tours to the public, Giving tours to school groups, Educational programming and craft activities, and Assistance with special events.

Help unload and stock items received in monthly food truck delivery, pack food and personal care items for clients of the food pantry, stock food pantry cabinets, count and sort donations (food, back-to-school supplies, coats, personal care items), and sometimes assist with mailings (stuffing/labeling) and making phone calls. Assist staff by covering evening and weekend calls to our 24-Hour Crisis Helpline. Volunteers are trained to answer calls and provide peer counseling, support, and referrals to victims who call for help with their situation.
